You know that feeling when you’re strolling through Temple Bar, not quite sure what you’re in the mood for — and then it hits you: “I could absolutely destroy a steak right now.” Or maybe it’s lobster. Or maybe it’s both. That’s exactly where Beef & Lobster steps in.

You’ll find it tucked away on Parliament Street, just a stone’s throw from the Temple Bar chaos, but with enough distance to still hear yourself talk. It’s laid-back, good-looking, and runs on that golden combo of chill atmosphere and food that means business.
What should we eat?
Start with the Sweet & Spicy Duck Wings, unless you’re the kind of person who skips starters — in which case, we’re concerned for you. They’re sticky, spicy, take two days to make, and disappear in about two minutes. The blue cheese dip deserves its own paragraph. That good.
For mains, there’s the Surf ‘N’ Turf, which does exactly what it says on the tin. An 8oz striploin (dry-aged Hereford, if you care about that sort of thing), teamed up with your pick of king prawns, octopus, or a half lobster. It arrives with a pot of lemon-garlic butter you’ll 100% end up dipping everything into, regardless of whether it makes sense.
Lobster purists should go straight for the Live Irish Lobster, grilled or steamed, depending on your mood. Prices scale with size, but portion-wise, they don’t short you.
Sides are solid. Sauces are house-made and worth trying. They even throw a few vegetarian options on the menu so your herbivore mates aren’t left out.
What’s the vibe?
It’s got that modern steakhouse look, dark woods, open kitchen, bar stacked with decent spirits, but it’s not trying too hard. Staff are on the ball, happy to chat, and seem to genuinely like being there, which makes a difference when you’re halfway through your second negroni and starting to get chatty.
